Before the final I was definitely one of those who thought he would leave no matter the result, but now it's Ange in. We'll see what happens next season.

It’s probably the first tweet of many for this nonsense. Can’t fire a coach on the back end of a euro cup. Sends a bad message to future managers.
"A hundred per cent [he should stay], I think he’s done a great job," Bergvall told Sky Sports. "It’s not been easy for any of us, especially because of all the injuries, but as he said, he always wins things in his second year and that’s true."
When Gray was asked if Postecoglou should get a third season, the midfielder had no hesitation in responding: "Yes, definitely. It’s been a great season this year and it’s been a roller coaster of a season as well, not just at the end. We’ve obviously had some really tough times and we stuck together. He’s big on things like family and I think the main thing that helped us get to the final and win the final is our morals of what we’re like as a team. Like I said, family is our main thing. We believe in each other and it’s like brothers going out there on the pitch in the final and we just fought for each other."
He doesn't have to, he's under contract...And Levy is still being Levy by not making any kind of definitive decision on his future yet as well as clearly having no clue as to any potential transfer targets.
Honestly I don't have a rational response to this, because it's pretty much exactly where I stood before the EL final.I dont know, I'm obviously in the minority on here regards Ange. I dont understand how we could consider keeping a manager who has delivered 22 defeats in the league, finished 17th and become the first club in the history of the PL NOT to have gone down with that amount of losses. We had a great cup run. He's had 2 years, 4 windows, spent nearly €447m on players and has made us significantly worse.
Surely we can't ignore that ? Surely we can't hide behind the EL and say he's done a great job ? Really ?
Apart from the sentimentality of the Europa League win, which was fantastic....and the fact that he's a nice bloke, Somebody explain why he would be given more time....
But regardless....Levy's a cunt.
Hasn't he had the chance though ?let's give the guy a chance to do it.
Its hard to disagree with a single word of that...!I dont know, I'm obviously in the minority on here regards Ange. 2 seasons, 4 windows, and nearly €450m on players ?
And we finished 17th ?
Maybe I'm missing something here. Anyway, if he does stay I'd be happy to back him regardless.
Eventually, he was able to adapt. His style of play evolved in the EL & he brought a more pragmatic approach to that competition.Mate, I think what has been overlooked by many is that there was clearly a board backed decision made by Ange in January (or thereabouts) that given the injury crisis we had to put all of our eggs in one basket.
At that point it was patently obvious the only way back into Europe was by winning a cup. At that point it didn’t really matter whether we finished 7th or 17th. The chips were in and fortunately, or rather through good management our number came up.
We are not the 17th best team in England. Only an idiot or an Arsenal supporter believes that. But again once it became impossible to field anything close to our best team, the only thing that mattered was avoiding relegation and securing a trophy. We were never realistically in a relegation fight. We secured enough points months ago. So in reality, all of the late season losses are irrelevant. We were sacrificing the league for a legitimate shot at a European cup and entry into next season’s Champions League. People crying that we finished 17th are completely disregarding the entire context of that.
In fact, on reflection I would argue that winning that final proves that both the squad and the manager have evolved. We went into that final without Kulusevski, Maddison and Bergvall. We went into that final with a barely fit Romero, a barely fit Son, a barely fit VdV and a barely fit Richarlison. To win that trophy is truly an astonishing achievement. And it only happens because Ange had the stones to make an early decision on where our priorities needed to lie. And it only happens because he was able to get the players to buy into a complete change in how we played along the way.
Make no mistake, we made a big leap forward this season. We learned how to win under incredible adversity. And we have the manager to thank for that.

Ok, so let's say you're absolutely correct in what you think happened, which is Levy and Ange sat down on Feb 1st and said let's forget the league and put all our eggs in the EL....but what about what happened before that...because my observations are over the whole season, and even as far as the second half of last season.Mate, I think what has been overlooked by many is that there was clearly a board backed decision made by Ange in January (or thereabouts) that given the injury crisis we had to put all of our eggs in one basket.

Everything I’ve seen seems to be coming back to one story by some freelance guy who appears on Sky occasionally. We’ll see.Nothing on Twitter yet but there’s been enough traction on this today to make me think it’s happening which is a fucking disgrace.
Yeah the League form was unacceptable but the man delivered one of the best nights we’ve ever had as fans.
If this does happen then Levy has lost the right to talk about “glory” and to even think about “To Dare is to Do”.
"one swallow doesn't make a summer" is the phrase that keeps ringing through my head when it comes to Ange and our new need for a trophy cabinet...Nothing on Twitter yet but there’s been enough traction on this today to make me think it’s happening which is a fucking disgrace.
